Der Weltkongress 2011 ist vorbei und mittlerweile dürften fast alle aus Riebau zurückgekommen sein. Wir möchten an dieser Stelle allen danken, die den beschwerlichen Weg in die Altmark gemeistert haben. Dieser Dank geht zuallererst an Euch alle. Ihr wart das beste Publikum, das ein Kongressfestival haben kann. Ihr wart mehr als ein Publikum, ihr wart Teil des Kongresses und habt das Ding erst zu dem gemacht, was es geworden ist: eine kleine Welt, in der selbstbestimmt und verantwortungsvoll ausprobiert wurde, was denn alles so möglich ist, wenn 300 Leute zusammenkommen und einfach mal loslegen.

Und wir möchten uns bedanken bei Referentinnen und Referenten, bei Technikern und Djanes, bei Leuten, die einfach ein paar Tage früher vorbeikamen und geholfen haben. Wir möchten den Musiker:innen und Künstlern danken für ein Programm irgendwo zwischen Punkrock, Rocknroll, BumBum und wunderbarem bunten Hippiescheiss. Wir danken allen, die das Gelände mit ihrer Deko verzaubert haben. Wir möchten den Kinoleuten danken und denjenigen, die sich Tag und Nacht um das leibliche Wohl des Kongresses gekümmert haben. Wir verneigen uns vor ernsthaften Vorträgen, Philosophie und lustigem Schabernack. Wir sind glücklich, dass ihr so viel Spaß und Freude hattet. Dass ihr die Vortragenden mit Fragen gelöchert und mit Interesse begeistert habt. Wir sind sprachlos über Eure wilde Entschlossenheit zum Mitmachen und den Wille, den Kongress zu etwas ganz Besonderen zu machen. Wir lieben Eure Spontaneität und Euer Lächeln im Gesicht, das wieder jemand anderem ein Lächeln ins Gesicht zauberte.

Und wir möchten den Menschen der Traumschule Riebau danken, die uns getreu dem Motto “Do what you want” ihr Gelände überlassen haben. Auch möchten wir den Einwohnern von Riebau danken, dass sie uns (und unsere Musik) für vier Tage ohne Murren ertragen haben. Einen solch toleranten Ort muss man erstmal finden: es gab keine einzige Beschwerde.

Jetzt sind wir ersteinmal traurig, dass alles schon wieder vorbei ist. Wenn wir uns erholt haben, überlegen wir, ob wir das nochmal machen. Aber es war so schön, dass es uns schon jetzt wieder in den Fingern juckt. Meldet Euch, wenn ihr wieder mitmachen wollt, wenn ihr schöne Gelände an der Hand habt oder einfach schon im Vorfeld helfen wollt.

The 2nd World Congress of the Hedonists International has finished and everybody has returned from Riebau. At this point, we want to thank everybody who conquered their way to the Altmark! First of all, our thanks go to all of you. You have been the best audience that a festival-congress could ever have! You have been much more than an audience – you have been an active part of the whole congress. You made it what it turned out to be: a small world, in which 300 people have found out in a self-determined and responsible way, what is possible if they just gather and kick off doing the things they want to.

Of course, we want to give our sincere thanks to all the contributors, technicians and DJs as well, and last but not least to all the folks who just came a few days earlier to help. We thank the musicians and artists for the program filled up with punk rock, rock n’ roll, boom-boom and all kinds of wonderful hippieshit. We are grateful for the people who enchanted the area with beautiful decoration, for the team who did the cinema floor and the kitchen crews who provided us with delicious and healthy food. We bow to serious lectures, philosophy and funny hoax. We are happy that you had so much fun and pleasure. That you pestered the contributors with so many questions and thrilled them with your interest. We are overwhelmed by your determination to join in and make the congress such a special place. We have fallen in love with your spontaneity and the smile in your face that has made others smile as well.

Especially, we would like to give props to the people of the „Traumschule Riebau“, who have invited us to their place and let us „do what you want“. We thank the inhabitants of the village, who endured us (and our music) during all four days without grumble. Such a tolerant place isn’t easy to find – we did not get any complaint at all.
Now, we are primarily sad that it’s over. We will take some weeks to decide whether to do it again or not. Anyway, these beautiful memories in our heads are tempting us : )

• Es gibt Workshops über Demos hacken, Soundsysteme bauen und Festivals squatten
• Markus Beckedahl erzählt von der Kunst, im Internet unbeschadet durchzukommen
• Die Apfelfront und die Nachhaltigkeitsguerilla stellen sich vor
• Es kommen Leute, die die während der ägyptischen Revolution das abgeschaltete Internet mit Modemeinwahlknoten überbrückten…

…. wir sind echt begeistert, was da gerade alles reinkommt. Und haben in dieser Liste einen viel zu kleinen Ausschnitt genannt.
Das volle Programm (Beta und keine Garantien auf Zeiten & Angaben) könnt ihr hier finden. Natürlich werden wir immer genug Plätze frei haben für Eure spontanen Workshops und Vorträge auf dem Kongress. Kündigt diese Beiträge einfach am Infopunkt an.

Und auch das Kulturprogramm mit Bands, Performances, Kino sowie der sonntägliche Tanzworkshop nehmen langsam aber sicher Gestalt an: wir freuen uns schon auf Sedlmeier, den Hardrock-Roboter, auf Dance Bazooka und das Megatronkollektiv, auf Kino und Kurzfilme von interfilm und viele andere Künstler, die wir an dieser Stelle noch nicht verraten.

Mittlerweile gibt es auch Busse von Berlin für wenig Geld zum Kongress. Ihr könnt die Karten ab jetzt auf dieser Webseite bestellen. Die Karten werden nicht verschickt, ihr steht einfach auf der Mitfahr-Liste im Bus.

Vom 9.-13. Juni 2011 findet der Zweite Weltkongress der Hedonistischen Internationale statt. Der Kongress soll nette Leute zusammenbringen, ihre Vernetzung fördern und neue Perspektiven des Protests eröffnen. Dabei werden theoretische Fundamente diskutiert, neue Aktionsformen ausprobiert, zukünftige gesellschaftliche Konflikte erörtert und alternative Möglichkeiten politischer Intervention debattiert – und ziemlich sicher auch getanzt. Der Kongress ist darauf anlegt, dass spontan weitere Beiträge, Panels und Workshops das Programm ergänzen.

Das Kongressprogramm orientiert sich an den drei Themensträngen Protest, Party, Action. Wenn Du selbst am Kongress einen Beitrag, Vortrag oder Workshop machen willst, dann kündige dies einfach dort spontan an.

Insgesamt lebt der Kongress vom Selbermachen, Mitmachen, Mitmischen. Mehr dazu bei Idee.

The Hedonist International’s 2nd World Congress will take place from June 9th to June 13th. It wants to bring together people from all over the world who are interested in hedonism, to promote their networking and to open new perspectives for resistance. We will discuss theoretical concepts, try new forms of action, talk about social conflicts and about alternative methods of political intervention. And we will dance as well.

Congress program is planned along the 3 topics Protest, Party, and Action. It is foreseen that contributions, panels, and workshops will be added spontaneously. If you want to contribute something to the congress, just come along with your idea and realize it on-site!
