They build us the shit right in town.To be accurate, besides this ugly major chump of mainstream- culture named O2 arena, they also want to construct loads more of commercial shit onto the Spree waterfront of Berlin- Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg, as for example a new roadbridge, which directly merging into the Krezberger Wrangelkiez.

Old selfgrown structures for which we love this part of Berlin so much, are left on the track, sadly, therefore we get exhaust emissions, increased rental fees and even more vacant tower blocks and concrete jungles.

A chance to avert this and to obtain freespace, consists in subscribing to the petition for the referendum "Spreeufer für alle!".

In detail the new bridge should be conceived as a pedestrian bridge only, construction should only be allowed in 50m distance to the Spreebank, whereby the investors could forget their building plans in large parts, as well as the planning for further tower blocks,which would turn the quarter inevitably into a dormitery town.

The herefore needed 5500 signatures should be managable, we think.
If the signatures are all together, there will be an acclamation with ticking and such.

Everybody can subscribe, however the 5500 signatures have to be from EU-citizens aged 16 and up and from the district of Fridrichshain-Kreuzberg.
Anyhow, all other signatures will corroborate the disaffirmation of this project.

If you want to support the project "Spreeufer für alle!", you can print out this pdf, the back as well(these thingies have to be copied to the rear and front of an A4-paper), let your neighbours and friends in the hood sign and hand it in to one of the stalls of the Mediaspree-Versenken folks on one of these dates:

* Wednesdays, 2p.m. Warschauer Straße/ corner Revaler
* Fridays, 1p.m. eco-market at Lausitzer Platz
* Sundays, 1p.m. jumble sale Boxhagener Platz, Krosssener/ corner Gabriel-Max-Straße

Please stick to this advice so that the petition for a referendum will be accepted by the administration.

The Hedonist International and the Alliance for Urban Soundsystems (BUMS) will be at the Worldtronics at the House of World Cultures in Berlin and welcome everyone who wants to know more about how to reclaim the streets while dancing.

There will be a live-act on Friday, 16:00 - 17:30 and a DJ on Saturday, 16:00 - 18:00 before the concerts.

On September, 22nd a large protest march "Liberty instead of fear" takes place in Berlin; against surveillance, the restriction of liberty rights and Stasi 2.0. This march, which can become with your assistance the largest protest with the topic "liberty" for years, is supported by a large community. Some sections of the Hedonist International will be there together with the people from Berlin EuroMayday.

The demo takes place on Saturday, 22nd of September starting 14.30 at the Brandenburger Tor.

The involved sections of the Hedonist International are looking forward to a large protest march for liberty and basic rights. On the other hand it is clear that the parties themselves taking part in the alliance diminished citizen rights in the past. The FDP approved the large wire-tapping, "Die Grünen" Otto Schily's security packages (biometric passport, tightening of §129) and the Berlin part of "Die Linke" wants to tighten police laws.

The Hedonist International rejects every restriction of liberty rights.
