The new founded "Free Voina" section of the Hedonist International organized this afternoon a spontaneous action in front of the Russian embassy in Berlin. The section showed what they think of the oppression of the Voina activists from the Russian authorities:

Voina is an activist group which is under heavy oppression by the Russian state authorities.They are known for drawing a huge penis on a bridge in St. Petersburg in front of the KGB-building in order to show the police and the state what people really think of them. They were having group sex in a gallery as a protest against the mechanical passage of power from Putin to Medvedev. At the moment they are forced to live in the underground with two kids.

We are very pleased from the foundation and first action of the first Russian section:

The Now-Eaters are the first section of the Hedonist International in Russia. Inspired by the atmosphere of Hedonist World Congress, we decided not to wait and to recreate this unique spirit of freedom, joy and radical creativity in our country. Russia is a particular place, where being a political activist or even just a street artist means being constantly under surveillance risking your freedom. That is why we launch the “Now-Eaters” project as a challenge for the dictatorship.
The dictatorship is not only a form of political system. It is a state of MIND. And we aim at fighting with this stagnation of consciousness by breaking the codes of public spaces and inventing new forms of radical self-expression. The “Now-Eaters” praise the force of the Moment. The Now-Eaters create a utopia by living and acting in a u-chronia, in the abundant time of Now. In the Now there are no cops, no gods and no masters, only you and your imagination, courage and joy exist. The Hedolution starts NOW!

The action “Totalitarian Food Regime” took place on the 10th of June in Saint-Petersburg, which criticizes the new law about demonstrations that raises the charges for taking part in an illegal mass action up to 7500 euro (with an average monthly income of only 400 euro in Russia!).

We’ve decided to use the simple menu as a tool of agitation and to transform the inherent hedonistic human desire of satisfaction into a powerful, insatiable and revolutionary thirst for freedom. The false menu that we’ve put inside the real ones are totally based on the REAL text of the new law. The Now-Eaters strongly recommend you to use this means of agitation in your own actions! And Vive la Hedolution!

Dear friends, artists, speakers, musicians, activists, everyone!

It's yet over once again: the hedonist international world congress 2012. Everyone has now left the location in Kuhlmühle and with each and everyone all their wild, colourful, random and unique memories. Some may have already started perceiving a feeling of emptiness because it's already over, others are still filled up with impressions and zest for action.

We are thrilled about the amount of new contacts and networks that have emerged, about how many activists attended and how well everything went together.

Now, we have to gather ourselves up. This unique combination of conference, activists meeting and festival is only possible due to you as participants. As participants, we don't mean guests, but everyone that made the world congress what it is with their action and responsibility.

That's why we want to say thank you:

Thank you for giving back the location in such a good condition: 50 cigarette butts on a dance floor that has been rocking for 12 hours is in fact hard to beat.

Thank you for thinking forward and that everybody could trust each other on the congress. This raises hope for many, making believe that we're not doomed on this planet after all.

Thank you that it was possible to give everyone on the congress 50 Euros and ask: can you run and get some change for the bar please? And it actually worked. Just like that.

A just founded section called Wet Dreams send us this call for an action:

Yeah, the Berlin Waterworks. Half of the Berlin Waterworks is owned by private companies, RWE and Veolia. RWE will sell his share of the waterworks for an absurd sum to the Berlin Senate, Veolia sues everything which tries to put down their profit and the Berlin Senate lets to be played with, rather than to defend themselves by legal means against the prey community. "Wet Dreams", a section of the Hedonist International calls for "Stop the Privatization of Public Services. The water belongs to us."
So we dance on Saturday June 16 in the Neptune Fountain against the repurchase of the Berlin Waterworks and for the expropriation without recompensation of the private corporations. An action with the support of the Alliance for Urban Mobile Soundsystems (BUMS) and free drinks for each politically sign you bring or other politically suitable equipment.

June 2012: The 3rd world congress of the hedonist international

The Hedonist International isn't an organisation, but an idea. We invite everyone to play with and experimentalize this idea, which is outlined in the Hedonist Manifesto. This manifesto is available in 15 languages and provides the conceptual framework for hedonist action. Whoever identifies with the manifesto and wants to help spread the idea and/or find out more about it ,is cordially invited to take part in the 3rd Hedonist World Congress.

Participate!

To make the congress an exciting, colourful, inspiring and joyful event, it needs your creativity and energy. The more people play a part in the preparations, the greater the variety of themes and actions will be. The Congress, as the whole Hedonist International, lives on do-it-yourself, get-into-the-act, and active participation.

Up to now, we count about 60 sections in different countries – no one can say exactly how many there are – which have joined the idea and have begun to combine politics with fun, each in their own way. The first two World Congresses of the Hedonist International have taken place in Kaulitz 2010 and in Riebau 2011. This year, the 3rd Congress of the Hedonist International will occur from May 31st to June 4th, 2012 (Thursday to Monday). For four days, it shall bring together people from many countries, promote their networking and open up new perspectives to protest and resistance.

A congress which combines politics and fun

We will discuss theoretical concepts, rehearse new forms of action, reconsider social conflicts, debate alternative methods of political intervention, and we will learn about opportunities to have a good and happy life here and now. Congress program is planned along the topics Protest, Party, and Action.

• Do you want to organise a part of the congress by yourself (a space, a subject, a day, a few hours ..)?
• Do you want to show others how to identify tasty herbs that grow in the wild, how to step dance or how to teach swimming to children?

Important note: Nobody earns money during or with the congress. It is about informing, imparting knowledge, and networking, it's about cooking, doing sports and build up things together. „We don't want to think, we want you to lead us!“

This is the theme of the „Legion of Surrender“, a section of the hedonist international unbeknown to date, as they came together to give Benedikt XVI. the most devoted welcome on his visit to Berlin. They gathered at the metro station “Olympiastadion”, deeply convinced that the guardian of the holy truth and manful defender of the real catholic virtues deserves a frenetic salutation by his true disciples, who assured him of their total surrender under the papal infallibility.

In the end, they aggrievedly couldn't greet the Holy Father personally, but they could celebrate their beliefs with all the other Catholics who had come to see the pope. The months of preparation proved to be worth it: The enthusiasm with which these young Catholics celebrated their devotedness impressed many believers from all over the world. They were caught by the dense atmosphere of spirituality and joined in the Legion's devotions to the Holy Father. Asked for his opinion on the Legion of Surrender, a member of the famous Pius Brotherhood sent his greetings and assured them of his sympathy.

The burning speeches and ecstatic dances proved to be commanding even to the Ladies and Gentlemen of our sweet and serving federal police. They secretly tapped their feet with the music and seemed to be quite sad when the dedicative legionnaires finally decided to leave the site. Some other demonstrators who showed up at the metro station as well weren't that lucky. They were banned and sent away quickly although they expressed their opinions as peacefully as the Legion of surrender did.

“We hope that our decent presence at the Olympic Stadium had some impact on the young Catholics passing by and that we could convince some of them to follow us in our total surrender to the pope's words”, said legionnaire Eusebia referring to this outstanding day of celebration. For the writers of this little communication, there only one drop of bitterness: They lost some precious seconds of the godly spree that followed the devotions of the day.
