On the 8th of July plasticine people went out on the streets of Saint-Petersburg to protest and to reclaim their identity! While “normal” Russian citizens feel oppressed by the new law against demonstrations, plasticine people take their risks and dare to affirm publicly their position towards Russian government.

Using the quotations from the Declaration of Human Rights and Freedoms, the little protesters remind us of our inalienable right of rebellion. “When the government violates the rights of the people, insurrection is for the people and for each portion of the people the most sacred of rights and the most indispensable of duties.”

And, addressing to the “new” Russian president, plasticine rebels claim: “”Let any person who may usurp the sovereignty of the people be instantly put to death by free men”.

The plasticine rallies were organized in different strategic places of the city. In front of the monument to the victims of political terror, near the “Kresty” Prison and next to the building of the Government of Saint-Petersburg.
